Introduction
The MYRGS (MRUN Young Researcher Grant Scheme) is a research grant program available to young researchers aged 40 and below in Malaysia. It is offered by the Malaysian Research University Network (MRUN) in collaboration with the Young Scientists Network - Academy of Sciences Malaysia. This grant scheme invites high-quality and innovative research proposals that address specific challenges identified in six key areas, such as water security, food safety and security, renewable energy, health and wellbeing, agriculture, and the environment. The proposals must be transdisciplinary, incorporating both scientific and social science perspectives and methodologies, which may include fields such as law, arts, and humanities. Additionally, researchers are encouraged to utilize cutting-edge technologies associated with Industry 4.0, including big data analytics and artificial intelligence, among others.
